South Africa win over Pakistan in second Test, level two-match series
South Africa comfortably defeated Pakistan by eight wickets on the fourth day of the second Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, leveling the two-match series at 1-1. The Proteas chased down a modest target of 68 runs with ease, completing the chase in the 13th over of the day.
Pakistan had set the target after being bowled out earlier in the day. Despite the low total, South Africa’s openers remained steady, ensuring no further setbacks. Ryan Rickelton played a key role, contributing to the team’s swift victory. With this win, South Africa bounced back after Pakistan had triumphed in the series opener at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
The second Test was part of the ongoing ICC Test Championship 2025-27, and both teams will now look to build momentum ahead of their next fixtures in the series
