Arshad Nadeem Clinches Gold in Javelin Throw at 35th National Games
National athlete Arshad Nadeem has secured the gold medal in the javelin throw event at the ongoing 35th National Games in Karachi.
Arshad dominated the competition with an impressive throw of 81.81 meters, claiming the top spot on the podium. In the same event, WAPDA’s Yasir Sultan earned the silver medal with a throw of 70.77 meters, while Pakistan Army’s Abrar Ali took home the bronze with a distance of 67.68 meters.
Commenting to the media after the event, Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem said, “The National Games are very important for our young players. These games help identify the athletes who will represent Pakistan in the future.”
He added, “There was no need to make big throws in every attempt; I throw according to the competition. I am now fully recovered from my injury and focused on myself. My aim is to win a gold medal in the next Olympics as well. During the event, I also guided other players.”
Arshad further acknowledged the role of coaching in his success, stating, “The most important achievements in my life have been accomplished under the coaching of Salman Butt.”
The gold medal victory reinforces Arshad Nadeem’s status as one of Pakistan’s premier athletes and adds another milestone to his illustrious career in javelin throw.
