U19 Asia Cup Final: Pakistan vs India Showdown Confirmed

20 December, 2025 16:35

At the Sevens Stadium on Friday, Pakistan Under-19 defeated Bangladesh U19 by eight wickets to secure their spot in the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025 final.

Overnight rain and a sloppy outfield caused the semi-final to be shortened to 27 overs per side, delaying the start.

Farhan Yousaf, the captain of Pakistan, won the toss and chose to field, which turned out to be a crucial choice because his bowlers controlled the game.

Bangladesh U19 struggled against disciplined Pakistani bowling and were dismissed for 121 runs in 26.3 overs. With an impressive 4 for 20, right-arm pacer Abdul Subhan spearheaded the attack and put pressure on the middle overs.

Huzaifa Ahsan, who scored two out of ten, provided strong assistance for Abdul Subhan. Ahmed Hussain, Mohammad Sayyam, and Ali Raza each contributed one wicket to prevent Bangladesh from gaining any momentum.

Samiun Basir, the leading scorer for Bangladesh with 33 runs, put up a brief fight before the innings fell apart.

Pakistan easily chased down the target in response, scoring 122 for 2 in 16.3 overs. Sameer Minhas, the opener, dominated the run chase with a brilliant undefeated 69 off 57 balls, striking two sixes and six fours.

With 27 runs, including two fours and two sixes, Usman Khan offered fast support.

Ahmed calmly led Pakistan to victory without any late drama, staying out on eleven.

With this victory, Pakistan U19 will play India U19 in the final on Sunday, December 21. The first ball is set for 9:00 a.m. local time, and the final will take place at the ICC Academy Ground.

Due to his game-winning four-wicket haul that paved the way for Pakistan’s convincing semi-final triumph, Abdul Subhan was named Player of the Match.
