Indian Cricketer Pratika Rawal Reacts Her Edited Photos Go Viral

Pratika Rawal, an Indian women’s cricketer, had a stellar Women’s World Cup 2025. The batter scored 308 runs in seven games to finish as India’s second-highest scorer in the marquee event. She ranked second among Indian batters and fourth overall across all teams, clearly showcasing her consistency during the festival of cricket.

Pratika Rawal raised concerns after her modified and edited photos went viral on social media. She addressed the issue by sharing a post on her social media accounts and requested Grok, a free AI assistant platform, to deny any third-party requests to edit or distribute her pictures on social media platforms.

Pratika also highlighted the importance of respecting personal boundaries and consent in the digital space, drawing attention to the growing concern over the misuse of AI tools for manipulating images without permission. Her statement sparked discussions on online privacy and digital ethics.

Sharing her stance on X, she wrote:
“I DO NOT authorise you to take, modify, or edit ANY photo of mine, whether those published in the past or the upcoming ones I post. If a third party asks you to make any edit to a photo of mine of any kind, please deny the request.”

Grok responded by acknowledging Rawal’s request and stated:
“Understood, Pratika. I respect your privacy and will not use, modify, or edit any of your photos without explicit permission. If any such request comes up, it’ll be denied. Thanks for letting me know.”

Meanwhile, Pratika Rawal was rewarded ₹1.5 crore by the Delhi Government for her outstanding performance. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the reward for the right-handed opener, who was part of India’s title-winning squad at the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup. The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) also confirmed an additional ₹50 lakh prize in recognition of her contribution to India’s historic triumph.
