PCB invites investors to bid for Multan Sultans franchise

PCB invites investors to bid for Multan Sultans franchise
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that Multan Sultans will be put up for open auction ahead of the upcoming PSL Season 11.
The decision to auction the franchise was finalized on Sunday, following the successful sale of two new expansion teams. According to reports, the PCB will shortly release an official advertisement inviting bids for the Sultans. This strategic shift comes in response to the record-breaking prices fetched by the two newest franchises and significant interest from both local and international investors.
The auction for Multan Sultans will be open to all qualified bidders and is expected to follow the same transparent framework used for the other recent franchise sales. With new ownership anticipated, the team is set to compete in the next edition of the league under a fresh management structure.
It is worth noting that the PCB had previously indicated it would manage Multan Sultans on its own for Season 11. However, the high valuation of the league and the recent influx of investor interest have prompted the board to fast-track the sale instead.
