PCB releases schedule for Pakistan vs Australia T20I series

14 January, 2026 15:12

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for the Pakistan vs Australia T20 International series, which will take place later this month in Lahore.

Australia will tour Pakistan for a three-match T20I series, with all matches being played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The first match is scheduled for January 29, followed by the second on January 31, while the third and final match will be played on February 1.

For all three matches, the toss will take place at 5:30 pm, and the match will start at 6:00 pm. The Australian team is expected to arrive in Lahore on January 28.

Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan has confirmed that he will not take part in the remaining matches of the Big Bash League as he is joining the national team for this series.

This T20I series is considered important preparation for both teams ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held next month. Pakistan are placed in Group A, while Australia will compete in Group B of the tournament.

This will be Australia’s third tour of Pakistan since 2022. During their last visit in March 2022, Australia played Tests, ODIs, and a T20I. The team also played matches in Pakistan during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

PCB Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer said the board is pleased to welcome Australia and described the series as a great start to the year for cricket fans in Pakistan. He added that Australia is already familiar with Gaddafi Stadium, having played several matches there since 2022.
