In a major upset at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, Zimbabwe cricket team defeated former champions, the Australia cricket team in a thrilling group-stage match in Colombo.
Zimbabwe batted first and scored 169 runs for 2 wickets in their 20 overs, setting a target of 170 runs for Australia. Brendon Brian Bennett starred with a brilliant 64-run innings, while Tadiwanashe Marumani and Ryan Burl added 35 runs each. Sikandar Raza also contributed 25 runs.
