Fakhar Zaman in Trouble PSL 11 Ball Tampering Charge Shocks Lahore Qalandars
LAHORE – Fakhar Zaman, star batter of Lahore Qalandars, has been charged with an alleged ball tampering offence during HBL PSL 11.
According to officials, Fakhar has been charged with a Level 3 offence under Article 2.14 of the PCB Code of Conduct. The charge relates to a violation of playing conditions that prohibit any action which alters the condition of the ball.
The incident reportedly took place during the second innings of the match. Fakhar Zaman denied the allegations during a disciplinary hearing conducted by Match Referee Roshan Mahanama.
Another hearing is expected within the next 48 hours, after which the final decision will be announced. The outcome could have a significant impact on Lahore Qalandars in the ongoing PSL season.
In a separate incident, Hasan Ali of Karachi Kings was fined 10% of his match fee for a Level 1 offence.
Hasan Ali breached Article 2.5 of the PCB Code of Conduct, which relates to using inappropriate language or gestures that could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter after dismissal. He accepted the charge and the penalty without contest.
The incident occurred on the final ball of the 19th over when Hasan dismissed Haseebullah and reacted in a manner deemed against the spirit of the game.
These developments have added fresh controversy to PSL 11, raising concerns over discipline and conduct among players in Pakistan’s premier T20 league.
