Islamabad United’s disciplined bowling effort helped them restrict home side Multan Sultans to 168/5 in the 13th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 on Wednesday at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Opting to bat first, the home team got off to a cautious start, with skipper Mohammad Rizwan and Yasir Khan combining for 51 runs before the latter was bowled by Mohammad Nawaz in the seventh over.

Yasir, who scored 87 runs against Lahore Qalandars at the same venue on Tuesday, could only muster 29 runs off 17 deliveries against toppers United, including two fours and sixes.

Skipper Rizwan then shared a 65-run partnership for the second wicket with Usman before being removed by United’s Shadab Khan.

Rizwan batted cautiously, scoring 36 from 37 deliveries and hitting only three boundaries.
