Quetta Gladiators outclass Peshawar Zalmi

Quetta Gladiators secured a convincing 64-run win over Peshawar Zalmi in the 17th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday, with a combined batting effort and Faheem Ashraf’s brilliant five-wicket performance.

Chasing a target of 179, Zalmi’s batting line-up was dismantled for just 114 runs in 15.2 overs. Hussain Talat fought a lone battle, scoring 39 from 34 balls, but the rest of the Zalmi batters couldn’t cope with Quetta’s aggressive pace attack.

Faheem Ashraf was the standout bowler, taking 5 wickets for just 33 runs in 3.2 overs. Khurram Shahzad supported well, taking 2 wickets, while Mohammad Amir, Abrar Ahmed, and Mohammad Wasim claimed one wicket each.

Earlier, Quetta posted a total of 178/6, with Finn Allen leading the charge, scoring 31 off 16 balls. Saud Shakeel (32), Rilee Rossouw (27), Kusal Mendis (32), and Mark Chapman (33) also contributed crucial runs. Azlarri Joseph was the best bowler for Zalmi, claiming 3 wickets for 33 runs.

This comprehensive victory helped Quetta Gladiators strengthen their position in the PSL standings.

Alzarri Joseph bowled brilliantly for 3/33 to help Peshawar Zalmi restrict Quetta Gladiators to 178/7 in the 17th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 on Sunday at the Gaddafi Stadium.

The Gladiators got off to a good start in their innings, with Finn Allen and Saud Shakeel scoring 46 runs.
