Suspicious letters received by judges to be probed: PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the suspicious letters received by the judges will be investigated with full responsibility.

The prime minister stated this while chairing the Cabinet meeting today.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif further said that after a meeting with the Chief Justice of Pakistan, an inquiry commission was formed while the Supreme Court took a suo motu notice of the issue of the judges’ letter.

He added that the inquiry commission was notified with the permission of Tassaduq Jilani and we have fulfilled our responsibility regarding the commission. The suspicious letters received by the judges will be investigated with full responsibility.

The prime minister said that inflation is coming down and more steps are being taken to bring it down further. Another IMF program is very important for us, he added.

The prime minister hoped that an installment will be received from the IMF this month, adding poverty can be eradicated only through economic stability.

The federal Cabinet will consider the six-point agenda, while it will approve the economic policy statement for submission to the National Assembly.

In the Cabinet meeting, the former Naval Chief will be given a go-ahead to receive a foreign award and the appointment of members of the National Commission for Women will be approved.
