Tajikistan crushed Pakistan 6-1 in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers

Tajikistan outclassed Pakistan 6-1 in their second match of the second round in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers at at Islamabad’s Jinnah stadium.

Tajikistan scored early in the game with Kamolov’s minor deflection from Abdullah Iqbal in 9th minutes.In the 13th minute Soirov received a pass from Nazarov and increased the score to 2- 0.

Pakistan team fought back when in the 21st minute, Rahis Nabi scoring an absolute stunner with his left foot, giving the home side and their fans much-needed hope to get back in the game.

The visitors scored their third goal in 26th minute when Umarbaev, extending their lead to three goals and getting in a dominating position to 3-1.Tajik side crushed all hopes when just before first half -time whistle Pandzhshanbe scored Tajikistan’s fourth goal 4-1.

Pakistanis were at their best for the first eight minutes of the game but things changed right after Tajikistan took the lead against the run of play with a goal from Amadoni Kamolov and then rest of the first half was completely dominated by Tajikistan.

In the second half, Pakistani side failed to keep the ball for most of the time, had trouble holding on to it and slowing down the tempo of the game as every single touch was towards the goal, making it impossible for the team to have a proper structure.

In the 66th minute, Pakistan conceded another goal, another one from the edge of the box as they failed to close down the gap in their penalty box.

The game ended with Pakistan 1-6 with Tajikistan emerging winners after a one-sided game of football, no positives were seen throughout the game apart from Nabi’s stunner in the first half.
