TikTok partners with PTA to launch digital safety contest
In collaboration with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), TikTok has announced the launch of a Digital Safety Competition to promote digital safety awareness.
The initiative aims to raise awareness among youth regarding digital safety. As part of the competition, TikTok will invite creators to produce short and impactful videos across six different categories.
The six categories include responsible use of social media, combating online harassment, preventing online fraud, ensuring the safety and well-being of youth, understanding TikTok’s safety tools, and addressing misinformation on social media platforms.
Through this competition, TikTok and the PTA aim to promote the trend of verifying information before spreading and sharing digital safety messages among platform users.
This partnership between TikTok and the PTA reflects a shared commitment to enhancing digital literacy and safety in Pakistan.
Earlier this week TikTok hosted its first-ever creators’ event in Pakistan, the TikTok Experience, bringing together content creators and publishers from across the country for a one-day event.
