App Store 2024 award winners: Kino named as iPhone app of the year

Apple has named Kino, an app designed for videographers to get more out of their smartphone cameras, the company’s iPhone app of the year.
The tech-giant has announced the list that highlighted AFK Journey as iPhone Game of the Year, alongside winners of other categories.
The company recognised 17 apps and games from developers across the world.
The App Store Award winners, from solo entrepreneurs to multinational teams, have been chosen from 45 finalists by App Store Editors for demonstrating the highest levels of user experience, design and innovation.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said that they are thrilled to honour this impressive group of developers who are harnessing the power of Apple devices and technology to deliver experiences that enrich the lives of users and have a profound impact on their communities.
In a statement, the tech-giant said that the winning apps and games highlight the endless opportunities across the App Store and the Apple ecosystem.
