Here’s the reason to turn on airplane mode when you fly

If you have ever traveled by air, you would know that before take-off and landing of the plane, passengers are asked to switch their mobile phones to airplane mode.

A mobile’s airplane mode actually disconnects your handset from the SIM signal while its operating system runs normally.

Different things have come out regarding putting the mobile phone on airplane mode on special occasions during travel, but now an American pilot has openly explained it.

A pilot named Preach from America has revealed that if the mobile phone is not kept in airplane mode during take-off and landing, then there are many problems in contacting the ground control room and the signal cannot be found.

He clarified that the airplane mode is not a conspiracy but this measure is taken to protect the passengers as communication with the control room is very important when the plane is in flight.

The pilot said that due to the mobile phone signal, the voice from the control room started to echo and due to this the captain faced a lot of difficulties as he was receiving instructions from the control room on both occasions.

He further said that if a passenger is sitting near the cockpit and the signal is coming in his mobile, then the problem increases.
