Powerbeats Pro 2 to be unveiled soon; Apple to brief media this month

Powerbeats Pro 2 is likely to be launched as a successor to the Powerbeats Pro true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones. In 2019, the first generation of the wearable was introduced and since then it was discontinued.
In September 2024, the TWS earphones’ second generation was teased by the company and details about it started emerging online.
Powerbeats Pro 2 expected to get upgraded features alongside an improved design. It’s launch timeline has now been suggested in a newsletter.
Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman claimed in his latest Power On newsletter that the Powerbeats Pro 2 is “due imminently.”
Meanwhile, Apple is reportedly considering to hold product briefings with the view to discuss the features of the purported earphones with the media within days.
The tech giant previously confirmed that the Powerbeats Pro 2 will be launched in 2025.
The Powerbeats Pro lineup is likely to be a more fitness-focused alternative to the AirPods Pro series.
The wearable has inbuilt, adjustable ear hooks that are said to ensure a comfortable fit.
The new earphones is likely to sport a more vertical, slimmer design than the preceding version.
The Powerbeats Pro 2 alongside AirPods Pro 3 will be equipped with a heart-rate sensor.
Users will likely be needed to wear both earphones for the feature to work. The heart rate data could be connected to a piece of fitness equipment like a treadmill.
