Musk’s “Nazi” salute: More than 50 Reddit communities ban X links

X CEO Elon Musk’s Hitler-style salute at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration has sparked controversy on social media, with dozens of communities on the social web Reddit banning links to X.
Many of Reddit’s most popular sub-reddits are among those that have banned X links, including NBA (15 million), Formula 1 (4.8 million), Nintendo (2.8 million), Comics (2.8 million). and Disneyland (1.2 million).
One user wrote on the social networking site that X is becoming increasingly hateful, toxic and extremist. Due to Elon Musk’s recent antics, we are unable to send X links to other users.
Another NBA user wrote that we try our best to remain neutral and non-political. And taking a stand against the Nazi symbol is not a political issue. Because hate speech and its promotion have never been tolerated in our community.
