Google Messages is working on integrating WhatsApp’s video calling feature that signaled a significant development in the app’s evolution as a leading messaging platform.

The new update, initially highlighted by Assemble Debug in Google Messages v20250131, has introduced a specific button for WhatsApp Video Calls right within the app.
This serves as a convenient way to make a WhatsApp video call directly from Google Messages, provided that both parties have the Meta-owned app installed.
