Mark Zuckerberg overtakes Amazon founder Jeff Bezos
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has overtaken Amazon founder Jeff Bezos to become the second richest person in the world.
According to the Bloomberg Billion Air Index, Zuckerberg’s assets have reached $252 billion, while Jeff Bezos owns $249 billion.
Elon Musk is the richest person in the world with $402 billion.
Zuckerberg owns 12.8 per cent of Meta’s shares and the increase or decrease in his wealth also depends on the company’s shares.
His wealth has increased by an astonishing $44.4 billion during 2025, in fact he is still the highest earner this year.
Earlier, 2024 also proved to be a very good year for Mark Zuckerberg in terms of wealth.
Mark Zuckerberg went down the list of the world’s richest people some time ago.
In 2022, he suffered a huge financial loss. In fact, at one point, his wealth dropped by more than $100 billion and he was out of the 10 richest people in the world.
Zuckerberg’s wealth fell to less than $35 billion in 2022 as Meta’s share prices fell sharply at the time.
But in 2023, he focused his attention on the real world, taking steps to reduce the costs of the Meta platform, while working more on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
