OpenAI is doing a lot of work to improve Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, and now the company’s chief executive Sam Altman has predicted that the era of smartphones will end very soon.
In an interview recently, Sam Altman indicated that OpenAI is working on alternatives to smartphones.
He said that OpenAI company wants to develop Chat GPT hardware (devices in simple words) as an alternative to smartphones.
Speaking to the Japanese media, he talked about the future plans of OpenAI.
“We hope that by partnering, we will be able to develop a Chat GPTAI hardware device,” he said.
It is clear that it is not known how long this device will be introduced and how long it will be available to users.
The commitment to end the era of smartphones is surprising, that too from a company that has never developed a mobile device.
But this is not impossible, Apple introduced the iPhone in 2007, after which the era of smartphones started and the use of old mobile phones equipped with keypads remained negligible.
