Can AI technology teach ethics as well?

Psychologists have warned that a lack of human experience and real understanding of AI technology could limit public acceptance of its ethics decisions.
Artificial Moral Advisors (AMAs) are artificial intelligence-based systems designed to help humans make ethical decisions based on established ethical theories, principles, or guidelines.
Although prototypes are being developed, AMAs are not yet being used to offer consistent, unbiased recommendations and rational ethical advice.
“As AI-powered machines enhance their technical capabilities and move into the ethical domain, we need to understand what people think of such artificial moral counselors,” said the study, led by the University of Kent’s School of Psychology.
Experts found that although artificial intelligence may have the ability to give unbiased and rational advice, people still do not fully trust it in terms of ethics.
