Vakeel Online app launched for free legal assistance in Pakistan
To provide free legal assistance to citizens across Pakistan, the Vakeel Online mobile app has been launched. This marks a significant step in the country’s legal-tech advancements, according to reports.
A Digital Platform for Legal Support
The app serves as an online portal, connecting Pakistani citizens with lawyers and legal experts for assistance in various legal matters.
At the launch ceremony in Islamabad, Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar highlighted the app’s role in providing legal aid to those who cannot afford legal services.
German Ambassador Alfred Grannas also praised the initiative, recognizing its growing popularity.
Public Interest and Lawyer Participation
The app has been in development since 2020 and has already attracted 700,000 users across Pakistan, showing a strong public response.
So far, 1,000 lawyers have registered on Vakeel Online, with more currently undergoing screening before joining.
How to Use Vakeel Online?
Users can sign up as either a client or a lawyer, making the platform accessible to both legal professionals and those in need of legal guidance.
This initiative aims to bridge the gap between legal services and accessibility, benefiting thousands across Pakistan.
