Apple’s next OS updates to bring major design overhaul

11 March, 2025 16:32

Apple is set to introduce the biggest design revamp in years with its upcoming software updates for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, according to a report by Bloomberg.

These changes will be part of iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16, bringing a fresh look to icons, menus, apps, windows, and system buttons. The update will also simplify navigation and controls for a smoother user experience.

The new design is reportedly inspired by VisionOS, the operating system used in Apple’s Vision Pro VR headset, featuring circular icons and translucent panels for a more modern interface.

The redesign is a key project for Apple’s software and UI teams, led by Alan Dye, Apple’s VP of Human Interface Design.

Apple is expected to unveil iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16 during its annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in June 2025.

These updates aim to enhance usability while maintaining Apple’s signature sleek aesthetics. Users can expect a more refined, visually appealing experience across all Apple devices.
