Starlink, the satellite internet service owned by Elon Musk, has received temporary registration in Pakistan. Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, confirmed the development, stating that the No Objection Certificate (NOC) was issued following the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
“With the consensus of all security and regulatory bodies, Starlink has been issued a temporary No Objection Certificate (NOC),” Khawaja announced. She further added that the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) would oversee the company’s compliance with fee payments and licensing regulations.
Reports suggest that Starlink is expected to introduce its internet services in Pakistan within a year, offering residential, business, and mobility packages. This development marks a significant step in improving internet connectivity in the country.

- Monthly Fee: Rs 35,000
- Speed: 50-250 Mbps
- One-Time Installation Cost: Rs 110,000
2. Business Package:
- Monthly Fee: Rs 95,000
- One-Time Setup Cost: Rs 220,000
3. Mobility Package:
- Monthly Fee: Rs 50,000
- One-Time Hardware Cost: Rs 120,000
