How to Hide Your Facebook Story from Specific People

Facebook Stories allows users to share updates with friends, but sometimes, privacy is a concern. Whether you want to limit your audience for personal reasons or simply control who sees your content, Facebook provides easy ways to hide your story from certain people.

Here’s how you can manage your story privacy on both the Facebook mobile app and desktop version.

Hiding Your Story Using the Facebook Mobile App

Option 1: 

1. Open the Facebook app on your phone.
2. Tap Home at the bottom of the screen.
3. Select Create Story under the Stories section.
4. Tap the Settings (gear) icon at the top right.
5. Choose Hide story from and select the users you want to exclude.
6. Tap Done to save your settings.

Option 2: Modify Privacy Settings in Facebook Settings

1. Open the Facebook app and go to your Profile.
2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.
3. Scroll down and select Settings & Privacy > Settings.
4. Tap Stories and then Who can see your stories?
5. Select Friends except… and pick the users to hide your story from.
6. Tap Done to apply the changes.

Hiding Your Story on Facebook Using a Desktop Browser

Option 1: Change Story Privacy Settings

1. Log in to Facebook on your browser.
2. Click Create Story at the top of your feed.
3. Select the Settings (gear) icon in the left panel.
4. Click Hide story from and choose the users you want to exclude.

2. Click Settings & Privacy > Settings.
3. Select Stories and then click Who can see your stories?
4. Choose Friends except… and select the people you want to exclude.
5. Click Save Changes to confirm.
