Pakistan Railways Launches New ‘Track My Train’ App with Real-Time Tracking Features

In a move to modernize and improve passenger experience, the Ministry of Railways has launched a new mobile application titled “Track My Train”, replacing the outdated Pakistan Railway Tracking System. The app promises greater ease and accessibility for travelers by offering real-time train tracking and route information.

The announcement was made by Pakistan Railways, highlighting the app as a major step forward in digitalizing rail travel services across the country.

Key Features of ‘Track My Train’ App

Developed by Mango Tech Solutions, the new application includes several powerful features for users:

• Real-time tracking of trains across the entire railway network.

• Arrival and departure times at each station with live delay updates.

• Full route information, including all upcoming stops.

• Time comparisons between estimated and actual arrival times to help users stay informed about delays.

• Dual language support – available in English and Urdu.

How to Download the App

The app was officially launched on June 18, 2025, and is available for download on both:

• Google Play Store (Android)

• Apple App Store (iOS)

As of now, it has already crossed 100,000 downloads on the Google Play Store alone.

Privacy and Data Use

While the app is not officially endorsed by Pakistan Railways, it uses publicly available GPS and timetable data. According to Mango Tech Solutions:

• All data is encrypted during transmission.

• The app may collect device identifiers and share them with third parties, in accordance with its privacy policy.

Users should be aware of this while granting permissions during installation.
