WhatsApp’s New Threaded Replies Feature Will Fix Your Group Chat Chaos- Here’s How

WhatsApp status ads feature: Check details
Struggling to follow chaotic conversations in WhatsApp groups with over 20 participants? Relief is on the way. WhatsApp is working on a new threaded replies feature designed to make group chats easier to navigate.
This upcoming feature was discovered by WABetaInfo in the latest WhatsApp iOS beta 25.19.10.80. Much like Slack or Discord, it allows users to reply directly to individual messages within threads, preventing the main chat from becoming cluttered.
In the early version, each message bubble in a group chat will display a small counter indicating how many replies it has received. Tapping on the message opens a thread view, where users can read all related replies or add their own without interrupting the main conversation.
This feature is set to transform busy group chats where multiple discussions happen simultaneously, reducing confusion by keeping replies organized. Whether responding to an event or various topics, this will help ensure your message is directed appropriately.
The threaded replies feature follows WhatsApp’s draft filter, which helps users locate unsent messages. Both updates demonstrate WhatsApp’s commitment to enhancing group chat usability and organization.
Currently, WhatsApp threaded replies feature remains in development and isn’t available for public beta testing. It has been spotted on both iOS and Android beta versions, including Android beta 2.25.7.7, suggesting a full rollout is approaching.
