2025 – iPhone 17 Air

Apple is expected to hold its iPhone 17 event on Tuesday, September 9, according to leaks. The highlight of this launch will be the iPhone 17 Air, touted as the thinnest iPhone ever. Reports suggest it will measure just 5.5 mm, offering an exceptionally lightweight design. However, this ultra-slim form comes with trade-offs, including reduced battery life and a single-lens camera. Despite these compromises, Apple aims to showcase innovation through this ultra-thin design.

2026 – Apple’s First Foldable iPhone

In 2026, Apple plans to introduce its first foldable iPhone, a major step in the lineup’s evolution. The device will fold like a book, featuring a 5.5-inch outer screen and a 7.8-inch inner display. When unfolded, it may appear even thinner than the iPhone 17 Air, measuring 4.5 to 4.8 mm. Apple is also working to minimize the crease, creating a seamless, glass-like appearance. Some design compromises are expected, such as replacing Face ID with Touch ID and including a simplified dual-lens rear camera. Two front cameras will ensure selfies are possible whether the phone is folded or unfolded.

2027 – iPhone 20 Anniversary Model

The device will feature a wraparound display with no bezels, cutouts, or squared edges, consisting of a single, continuous piece of glass. Building on innovations from the iPhone 17 Air and the foldable iPhone, as well as the Liquid Glass design in iOS 26, the iPhone 20 will represent Apple’s ultimate vision of an all-glass smartphone.
