Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Launched with New Camera, Display, Software Upgrades

05 September, 2025 12:57

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S25 FE, expanding its Fan Edition lineup with incremental but notable upgrades. The device offers a larger battery, updated internals, and Samsung’s latest software experience while retaining much of the design language seen in the S24 FE.

Design and Display

The Galaxy S25 FE carries forward the aesthetic of its predecessor, featuring a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPS display with Full HD+ resolution. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and peaks at 1,900 nits of brightness, enhancing visibility in outdoor conditions. The in-display fingerprint scanner has been upgraded to ultrasonic, offering faster and more reliable unlocking.

The phone maintains an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both sides, encased in a durable Armor Aluminum frame. Available colors include Jetblack, Icyblue, Navy, and White.

Internals and Software

Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 FE is powered by the 4nm Exynos 2400 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of UFS storage. The device features a 10% larger internal vapor chamber to improve thermal management during intensive tasks such as gaming.

The phone runs Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8.0 overlay. Samsung has committed to seven years of OS and security updates, aligning with its flagship support policy. AI-driven features include Gemini Live, Circle to Search, ProVisual Engine, Generative Edit, Audio Eraser, and additional AI tools.

Cameras

The triple rear camera setup returns with refinements: a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 12MP ultrawide lens with a 123-degree field of view, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. On the front, the device upgrades to a 12MP selfie camera.

The Galaxy S25 FE supports 4K video recording and includes AI-enhanced photography options such as dual video mode, instant slow motion, and portrait studio settings.
