TikTok deletes over 25 million inappropriate videos in Pakistan
The short video platform TikTok has removed more than 25.5 million videos from Pakistan in the second quarter of 2025 for violating its community guidelines.
According to TikTok’s Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, a total of 25,448,992 videos were taken down between April and June 2025 due to inappropriate content. The report also mentioned that 99.7% of the removed content in Pakistan was actively detected, and 96.2% of the videos were deleted within 24 hours of being uploaded.
Globally, TikTok deleted around 190 million videos in the same period, which represents about 0.7% of all content uploaded on the app. Out of these, more than 163 million were automatically detected by TikTok’s systems, while around 7.4 million were later restored after review.
The report further stated that worldwide, the active removal rate stood at 99.1%, and 94.4% of flagged content was deleted within a day of posting.
To ensure a safer and more trustworthy platform, TikTok also removed over 76 million fake accounts and 25.9 million accounts suspected to belong to users under the age of 13 during the same period.
TikTok said these actions are part of its ongoing effort to maintain a secure and positive environment for users across the globe.
