WhatsApp Begins Testing Apple Watch Version — Apple Watch Soon to Support WhatsApp

01 November, 2025 11:25

WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging app, has started testing a version for the Apple Watch, offering users new ways to stay connected directly from their wearable devices.

According to WhatsApp Beta Info, the app will allow Apple Watch users to view messages and media in the chat list, send new messages without waiting for notifications, and react to messages using emojis. Users can also send audio messages and dictate messages through voice input. However, the Apple Watch must be connected to an iPhone running WhatsApp to use the new version.

This test version is available through the WhatsApp beta version 25.32.10.71 for iOS.

In addition to the Apple Watch app, WhatsApp is also preparing to introduce a profile cover photo feature for all users, which was previously exclusive to WhatsApp Business accounts. According to Webeta Info, the new feature will allow users to upload a cover photo via their profile settings, similar to Facebook or LinkedIn, giving profiles a more personalized and unique appearance.

The update will also include privacy settings for the cover photo, offering options such as My Contacts, Nobody, and Everyone. This feature is currently in testing through WhatsApp beta version 2.25.32.2 on the Google Play Beta Program and is not yet available to all users.

These developments indicate that the Meta-owned platform is actively working on new features to make WhatsApp more personalized, interactive, and visually appealing.
