iPhone Fold may offer bigger battery than 17 Pro Max

20 November, 2025 17:57

Apple’s long-rumored foldable iPhone, expected to be called the iPhone Fold, might launch as soon as next year. However, some reports still suggest it may arrive in 2027. New leaks have now shared details about its battery, giving us an idea of how long the device might last.

According to the report, the iPhone Fold could come with a much larger battery than the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The 17 Pro Max has a 4,823mAh battery, while the eSIM-only version goes up to 5,088mAh. In comparison, the foldable iPhone is expected to include a battery between 5,400 and 5,800mAh.

Apple is currently testing different prototypes using batteries in this range. This shows the company wants the foldable model to offer strong battery life.

Earlier prototypes of the “iPhone Air” also began with a smaller 3,000mAh battery, but the final model launched with a larger one. Analysts think Apple could make a similar upgrade here, possibly increasing the capacity to around 6,000mAh.

The iPhone Fold is said to feature a 7.58-inch inner screen and a 5.38-inch cover screen. With such large displays, a bigger battery becomes very important to ensure smooth performance and all-day usage.

Apple is still testing the device, so the final details could change. But these early leaks suggest the company is focusing heavily on battery life to support the iPhone Fold’s new design.
