Spotify shows lyrics directly on now playing screen

Spotify has introduced a new update that makes it easier to follow song lyrics while your music plays. Now, lyrics appear directly under the album art on the main Now Playing screen, so you don’t have to scroll or open a separate panel to read them.

Reddit users were the first to notice this change. Spotify has also kept the full lyrics view below the Now Playing screen for those who prefer a larger, dedicated display. Users can choose which view they like best.

The feature is optional, so if you don’t want lyrics under the album art, you can turn it off. Spotify is also testing a resize option for full-screen lyrics in the Beta app.

Since this is a server-side update, it will roll out gradually, meaning not everyone will see it immediately. The update is expected to reach more users in the coming weeks.

This update makes it easier for listeners to enjoy music while singing along.
