US Congressman Tim Burchett says govt confirms alien contact - check video
US Congressman Tim Burchett has brought renewed attention to the debate over unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) and aliens, claiming that multiple government and military sources have privately confirmed the existence of extraterrestrial visitors.
Speaking in a recent interview with TMZ Live, the Tennessee congressman said that aliens have not only visited Earth in advanced spacecraft but have also made direct contact with humans.
According to Burchett, his statements come from conversations with high-ranking officials in the federal government and military. While the Pentagon has historically kept this information private, Burchett insists that the accounts he has received are credible and reveal a reality far beyond what the public knows.
Tim Burchett on Alien Existence
Burchett told TMZ that multiple government and military officials had told him that extraterrestrials exist. He acknowledged that the claims might sound far-fetched to most people but maintained his conviction, even offering to undergo a polygraph test to prove the sincerity of his statements.
Aliens Have Made Human Contact, Claims Tim Burchett
When asked if these extraterrestrials pose a threat, Burchett suggested that their technological superiority shows a non-hostile presence. “Their technology is so advanced… they could have wiped us out a long ago,” he said, noting that the continued existence of humans indicates these visitors do not have aggressive intentions.

Burchett’s comments come at a time of increased UAP transparency in Washington. In early 2026, the executive branch reportedly directed federal agencies to begin identifying and releasing files related to extraterrestrial life. This follows years of pressure from lawmakers, including Burchett, who has criticized the “alphabet agencies” for unnecessary secrecy.
The congressman currently chairs the House Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE). He continues to push for the declassification of federal secrets, saying that some of the information he has reviewed could cause public unrest if released without context.
While Burchett’s claims have sparked public interest, many point out that there is still no verifiable physical evidence. The Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) has said that many sightings can be explained by conventional objects, like weather balloons or sensor glitches.
With new legislation and executive orders in 2026 pushing for more transparency, supporters of disclosure are hopeful that more definitive information about aliens and UAPs will soon be made public.
