WhatsApp set to launch redesigned message actions menu for Android users

12 June, 2026 16:27

WhatsApp is working on a redesigned message actions menu for Android users, aimed at making chats simpler and more user-friendly.

The new update will change how users interact with messages. Instead of opening multiple menus, a compact panel will now appear next to a selected message. From there, users can quickly choose options like Reply, Forward, Copy, and Delete.

Less commonly used features will be moved into a “More” section, helping reduce clutter on the screen while keeping important actions easy to access.

Earlier, Android users had to navigate different parts of the interface, with some options in the top bar and others hidden in extra menus. The new design brings all message actions into one place.

Users will be able to access the feature by long-pressing a message, after which the new menu will appear instantly beside it.

The update also aims to make the Android and iOS versions more consistent, offering a smoother experience across both platforms.

According to reports, the feature is currently available in WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.26.23.8, with a wider release expected in the coming months.
