BISP support for disabled persons – Key benefits and registration guide

07 July, 2025 19:34

In Pakistan, people with disabilities often face many difficulties in getting support, education, and basic services. To help, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has improved its system to better serve disabled individuals and their families.

Here’s how the program works and how you can benefit from these updates.

What Help Does BISP Provide?

BISP gives financial aid and other support services to people with disabilities. Some key features include:

  • Cash Assistance
Families with disabled members can get PKR 13,500 every three months to cover food, medicine, transport, and other needs.

  • Easy Registration
Many disabled people were left out earlier because of complex procedures. BISP has now:

    • Launched mobile registration vans to reach local areas.

    • Partnered with NADRA for smart ID cards showing disability status.

    • Reduced paperwork for faster registration.

  • Disability Certification
BISP helps people get their disability certified to ensure benefits go to the right individuals.

What’s New in BISP for Disabled Persons?

BISP has introduced new initiatives to improve services:

  • One Window Service Centers
These centers provide registration, verification, and complaint services under one roof. Special disability desks make the process quicker and easier.

  • Education Stipends for Disabled Children
Children with disabilities enrolled in school can now receive financial help for uniforms, books, transport, and learning aids.

  • Mobile Teams for Remote Areas
BISP mobile teams visit villages and small towns to register people who live far from city offices.

If you or a family member has a disability, follow these steps:

  1. Collect Documents
