Who is Stefi Cohen? Powerlifter and Boxer Arrested Again for Domestic Violence

Popular fitness influencer and pro boxer Stefi Cohen is back in legal trouble after being arrested on Wednesday for an alleged domestic violence battery charge.

Stefi Cohen, whose real name is Stefanie Cohen Magarici, is well known online as Dr Stefi Cohen. She is a 32-year-old Venezuelan-born powerlifter and boxer with over one million followers on Instagram. Her latest arrest follows a string of legal issues that began in November 2023, when she was accused of cyber-harassment involving her ex-boyfriend and his new partner.

Past Legal Troubles Resurface

Cohen was previously arrested after being accused of hacking into her ex’s device and leaking nude photos of his new girlfriend. Police reports revealed she sent the explicit images to group chats to humiliate the woman.

According to a Miami-Dade Police report, Cohen discovered the couple’s relationship in March 2022 and then allegedly leaked the victim’s photos to cause emotional distress. The alleged victims came forward again on April 16, 2024, leading to further investigation and charges.

Alleged Resisting Arrest and Physical Altercation

In 2024, when police tried to arrest Cohen on Loquat Avenue in the Coconut Grove area, she resisted arrest. Reports say she tried to walk away, refused police commands, and physically fought with the officer. While being handcuffed, she allegedly hit an officer, attempted to sweep him off his feet, and damaged the squad car’s door latch using her toes.

She was released on $3,300 bail and later posted on social media, denying the accusations.

“These are only allegations from a vengeful ex-boyfriend,” she wrote. “We will fight it all the way.”

Career Achievements and Personal Life

Despite her legal troubles, Cohen has an impressive athletic background. She holds 25 world powerlifting records, including for squat, total, and deadlift in the 123-pound class. She’s credited as the first woman in history to deadlift over 4.5 times her bodyweight.

Cohen has also boxed professionally, with six matches under her belt — four wins, one loss, and one draw.

She is currently in a relationship with Tristan Hamm, a fellow boxer and influencer. The couple has shared several romantic moments on social media over the past 18 months. In the past, she was also linked to influencer Hayden Bowe, though it’s unclear if he is the ex involved in her legal issues.
