Did Brother Nature Die Saving Horses? Social Media Death Claim Turns Out to Be Fake
Social media influencer Kelvin Pena, widely known as Brother Nature, trended online after a viral Facebook post falsely claimed he had passed away. The post, shared by a page named Chiefs Kingdom, alleged that Pena died while attempting to save wild horses from a wildfire in Texas.
According to the post, a rescue team was accompanying Pena when the incident occurred, and the wild horses allegedly trampled him. The page also included a link to a supposed video from the wildfire.
However, the news has been confirmed to be fake, as Brother Nature was active on Instagram, posting stories just hours before the false claim surfaced. In the comments section of the viral Facebook post, several users pointed out that the influencer was alive, though some others appeared to believe the fabricated story.

Kelvin Pena gained popularity by making videos featuring various animals. He first went viral in 2016, when he uploaded a video of a deer entering his backyard. Pena befriended the deer and shared the video on X (formerly Twitter). As more deer began visiting his backyard, he continued posting similar videos, further increasing his online following.
In 2017, Pena was featured in a short documentary titled Deer Squad, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. The same year, he founded a non-profit organization called the Everybody Eats Foundation, aimed at supporting community welfare initiatives.
Currently, Pena has over 1.3 million followers on Instagram, more than 1.4 million followers on X, and nearly 77,000 subscribers on YouTube.
The influencer also went viral in December 2019, when a video of him being beaten up in a Miami sandwich shop circulated online. The men involved in the altercation later tweeted about the incident, prompting widespread social media discussion.
In response, Kelvin Pena acknowledged the circulating video on X, stating that he was not bothered by it. Meanwhile, the owner of the Miami sandwich shop told The Shade Room that Pena had allegedly started the fight.
According to the owner, Pena entered the restaurant close to closing time with two women, insisting they be served and taking a seat. A group of customers recognized him and began filming. Pena reportedly asked them to delete the video, but they refused, leading to a verbal argument that escalated into a physical fight inside the restaurant.
The shop owner stated that they intervened to separate the men before the altercation continued outside the establishment. The owner also shared that they planned to take legal action against the influencer for damages, though it remains uncertain whether a lawsuit was ever filed.
