Sharjeel Memon Calls Water Shortage a Serious Issue, Urges Action on Water Agreement

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has described the water shortage in Karachi as a serious issue and called for the 1991 Water Accord to be implemented in its true spirit. He said that ensuring fair distribution of water resources was essential to addressing the challenges faced by the province.
Speaking on other issues, Memon said the Sindh government had not received any complaints about wheat disappearing from the province. He also criticized the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), urging the party to take practical steps instead of making announcements and to demonstrate its commitment through action.
Memon said MQM’s statements about leaving the federal cabinet should be followed by concrete measures. He added that the party appeared to have once again turned toward protests, stressing that political positions should be backed by practical decisions.
