Turkish Trade Ministry and FBR sign MoU on trade facilitation and customs cooperation related matters.

Turkey’s Ministry of Trade and Federal Board of Revenue inked a Memorandum of Understanding on trade facilitation and customs cooperation matters.

Turkish Minister of Trade Ruhsar Peckan and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Abdul Hafeez Sheikh singed it.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan witnessed the ceremony in Islamabad.

Under the agreement, both countries will enhance cooperation in Electronic Data Exchange.

They will also enhance cooperation in imports, exports and transit operations.

Meanwhile, under the MoU, the two countries to cooperate in combating different smuggling methods.

They will also cooperate in combating customs offences.
