Aus vs Pak : Khurram Shahzad ruled out of test series against Australia due to rib fracture

Pakistan Cricket team is disappointed when pace bowler Khurram Shahzad has been ruled out of the remainder of the Test series in Australia due to a rib stress fracture and abdominal muscle tear, earlier leg spinner Abrar Ahmed suffered a knee injury during the warm-up game against Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra.
The PCB in a statement announced : “Shahzad complained of discomfort in his left side during the first Test. PCB will now consult a specialist in Australia after which a final management protocol will be established for the player.”
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) intends to consult with an Australian specialist to formulate . a comprehensive management plan for Shahzad’s rehabilitation.
The right-armer made his debut during the Perth Test and claimed five wickets during the match. Khurram Shahzad removed Steven Smith twice in the match and claimed 3 for 45 in the second innings with the additional scalps of David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne.
Pakistan are 1-0 down in the series after being beaten by 360 runs in Perth. Pakistan is yet to score a victory in Australia since 1995.
