29 February, 2024 10:35

Pakistan Muslim League-N supremo Nawaz Sharif has termed the PTI founder Imran Khan’s letter to International Monetary Fund as enmity with Pakistan.

Speaking to the media outside the National Assembly here on Thursday, the PML-N Quaid said that only the PTI can do such thing. They have a history of doing things that are harmful to Pakistan, he added.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has penned a letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Sources said that Rauf Hasan, a spokesperson for Imran Khan, has written the letter on behalf of PTI to the IMF managing director.

They said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, in the letter, has requested to the IMF to keep political stability in mind at the time of the upcoming bailout package.

The PTI also demanded from the financial institution that the IMF should ensure an audit of 30 percent of the seats of the national and provincial assemblies within two weeks.

Apart from this, the sources further said that PTI has advised the IMF to be careful in the negotiations with the government of Pakistan. On the other hand, the financial institution says it has not yet received the PTI’s letter.

PTI sources say that the party has sent a letter to the International Monetary Fund.
