‘Fake news biggest challenge on social media’

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has said that the biggest challenge on social media is fake news.
The federal minister stated this in a statement issued after a meeting with British High Commission’s Political Counsellor Zoe Ware.
During the meeting, promotion of relations between Pakistan and UK were discussed. Cooperation in media sectors between the two countries was also came under discussion.
According to the statement, cooperation in the fields of film and drama was discussed between and Zoe Ware assured of her support for the development of Pakistan-UK bilateral relations.
Meanwhile, Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar said that misinformation, disinformation and fake news is the problem of the world as these three things need to be controlled.
He said that the biggest challenge on social media is fake news. Journalists should adopt the verification process on social media and the whole world should prepare a code of conduct related to social media.
