He made various pleas to the President, Prime Minister, Army Chief, and Chief Minister of Punjab regarding his financial situation, before taking this harsh step.
Sharif mentioned that he has medals and a kidney that he is willing to sell to make ends meet.
He is not only athlete who is struggling to make ends meet during this financial crisis.
Earlier, a Jaranwala, Punjab, resident has announced the sale of his heart and kidneys to pay his electricity bill, with the video going viral on social media.
