Pakistan may change playing XI for second Australia ODI

06 November, 2024 10:48

With the first ODI between Pakistan and Australia is done and dusted, now both teams are gearing up for the second game of the series in Adelaide.

The match is set to take place on November 08, as both teams already reached the city from Melbourne.

Pakistan, who produced a stunning fightback, are likely to retain the same playing XI for the game. However, if conditions favour spinners, then a change in the XI is on cards.

Pakistan will hold a practice session tomorrow ahead of the match, with all eyes on possible lineup changes after their defeat in Melbourne.

The Men in Green have young spinners Faisal Akram and Arafat Minhas in their squad, and if conditions favour, then, either fast bowlers Naseem Shah or Mohammad Hasnain could be rested to accommodate one of them.

Naseem struggle with cramps in the first match, but he is now feeling well.

It is worth mentioning here that, the first ODI saw Australia clinch a hard-fought victory by two wickets chasing a low total of 203.

Pakistan ODI Squad for Australia tour: Aamir Jamal, Abdullah Shafique, Arafat Minhas, Babar Azam, Faisal Akram, Haris Rauf, Haseebullah (WK), Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Muhammad Irfan Khan, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Shaheen Shah Afridi
