Nov 24 protesters to be treated like terrorists: Azma Bukhari
The Punjab government on Wednesday adopted a strict stance ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s final call protest and said that it would deal with November 24 protesters as they do with terrorists.
Speaking to the journalists, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari said that while they [PTI] might have plans A, B, and C, the state possesses the entire ‘ABC’.
She said that on November 24, the federal government would respond to protesters in the same manner it deals with terrorists.
Bukhari said that the rally led by KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur to Islamabad in October had incurred expenses of Rs810 million on the exchequer.
The minister said that PTI lawmakers were being given Rs400,000 each to incite unrest.
She alleged that individuals from PTI’s propaganda cell were involved in the fake video case.
Bukhari voiced hope that justice would be served promptly in the matter.
On the other hand, KP CM’s Adviser Barrister Saif said that the government representatives were holding press conferences following the protest call.
