Cristiano Ronaldo breaks silence on Messi rivalry

Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to the ongoing ‘GOAT’ debate with Lionel Messi in a light-hearted manner during a recent video on his YouTube channel, UR Cristiano.
The video featured a penalty shootout with YouTuber MrBeast, where MrBeast jokingly mentioned that one of his friends believed Messi was the better player. Ronaldo, amused, asked, “Who said Messi’s better than me?” and laughed off the comment.
At a press conference, the Al Nassr star further addressed comparisons with Messi, saying, “It is not important anymore whether I am the best or not, I no longer care about that.”
Ronaldo emphasized that his focus has shifted from individual accolades to helping his team win. He also revealed that he no longer actively seeks to break records but aims to enjoy his career and contribute to his team’s success.
Ronaldo is currently 58 goals ahead of Messi, who has scored 842 goals.
Ronaldo also expressed his ambition to reach 1,000 career goals in the future, a goal he discussed with former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand.
