Over 70pc students use AI Chatbots in this country for homework

More than 70 per cent of secondary school students in the US are using an AI chatbot to help with homework, according to a new survey.
Tiffany Zhu, an 11th-grader at The Harker School in San Jose, California, who assisted in the survey, said, “I felt that there were many people around me and fellow students are using AI Large Language Models (LLMs) and especially ChatGPT in many school assignments.
Tiffany Zhun, along with researchers from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the University of California, Santa Barbara, surveyed 306 6th through 12th grade students to determine how often they used an AI chatbot for homework. do
The results, published on the server arXiv, revealed that 71 per cent of students said they had used Large Language Models (LLMs) at least once for their homework. This rate is higher than AI chatbot usage among adults.
Students reported using the LLM for a variety of subjects, including language arts, history, and math assignments.
