IBCC introduces digital certificate verification system

10 February, 2025 17:53

The Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC) has launched a digital certificate verification system, revolutionizing the attestation process for matric and intermediate certificates in Pakistan.

This new system eliminates the need for students to submit sealed envelopes, making the process faster, more secure, and efficient.

How the New System Works

Starting February 16, 2025, the IBCC will implement its digital verification system nationwide. Students can now verify their certificates online through the IBCC portal, bypassing the traditional method of obtaining sealed envelopes from their educational boards.

The system integrates with 29 educational boards across Pakistan, using APIs to enable real-time authentication. Boards with existing digital systems have already been linked to the IBCC portal, ensuring seamless and instant verification.

Why This Change Matters

Previously, students had to submit board-verified certificates in sealed envelopes, a process prone to delays and fraud.

The new digital system addresses these issues by eliminating the risk of fake documents and streamlining the verification process. This upgrade ensures transparency, reliability, and efficiency for students and institutions alike.

Key Benefits of the Digital System

  • No Sealed Envelopes: Students no longer need to obtain sealed certificates from boards.
  • Instant Verification: Real-time authentication speeds up the process.
  • Fraud Prevention: Reduces the risk of fake or tampered documents.
  • Seamless Integration: Automated API connections with educational boards.
  • Ease for International Applications: Simplifies the process for students applying abroad for studies or jobs.

A Step Towards Modernization

The IBCC’s digital attestation system marks a significant step in modernizing Pakistan’s educational verification process.

By replacing outdated methods with a secure, online platform, the IBCC aims to provide a hassle-free experience for students while ensuring the authenticity of their documents.

This initiative reflects IBCC’s commitment to leveraging technology for better service delivery, benefiting students across the country. For more updates on the IBCC certificate verification system, stay tuned!
