Morocco, a country in North Africa, has a wide range of job opportunities in industries like manufacturing, tourism, healthcare, and construction.
Construction and nursing are reportedly among the highest paying occupations in Morocco. As of February 10, 2025, salaries are paid in Moroccan Dirhams, which is equal to Rs27.87 in Pakistan.
Workers from Pakistan who are on a work visa and are going to Morocco must obtain protection from the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment.
The protector offers visa holders a number of advantages, including full legal protection and the right to full support from Pakistani embassies in their place of employment.
The Pakistani embassy in Saudi Arabia has a Community Welfare Attache who can provide legal aid. Additionally, it offers up to Rs 1 million in life insurance.
Protector Fees for Morocco Work Visa in Pakistan
The Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment provides two distinct charge schemes for protectors: the charge of Emigrant through Director Employment and the Fee of Emigrant through Overseas Employment Promoter.
The government website states that as of February 2025, the total protection charge for candidates hired through Overseas Employment Promoter is Rs22,200. However, processing cases would incur an extra fee of Rs 6,000.
For individuals who obtained direct work in Morocco, the total protection charge is Rs9,200. It includes Rs. 4,000 for the OPF fund, Rs. 2,500 for the insurance premium, Rs. 2,500 for the registration price, and Rs. 200 for the OEC fee.
